Abelia x grandiflora est un arbuste aux branches arquées, à feuilles semi-persistantes ovales et feuilles d'un vert clair. Les jeunes feuilles sont bronzes. Taille: Abelias produisent régulièrement des nouvelles croissances très bas et bénéficie ainsi de la taille de remplacement modérée. Tailler au printemps en supprimant la croissance mortes ou endommagée. Après la floraison, couper un sur quatre tiges fleuries à forte nouvelles pousses.

Abelia x grandiflora is a graceful arching semi-evergreen shrub with oval bright green leaves and white and pink flowers from mid summer to autumn. Good winter interest as new growth arrives in a bright red splash of colour.

Pruning: Abelias regularly produce new growth from low down and thus benefit from moderate replacement pruning. Spring prune by removing dead or damaged growth. After flowering, cut back up to one in four flowered stems to strong new shoots or to the ground.
