Acaena microphylla est une plante vivace de Nouvelle Zélande, forme un tapis du feuillage en bronze. Avec une fleur verte intéressante qui tourne vers le cuivre/rouge pendant l'été. Une grande addition au rocaille, ou peut être utilisé entre les fissures des dalles.

This easy alpine from New Zealand forms a bronze mat of lacy foliage, bearing an interesting green flower that eventually turns copper/red during summer. Acaena microphylla makes a great addition to the rock garden or can be used between cracks in flagstones or other paving. It can also be used for edging borders or even as a substitute for grass. Can also be used as ground cover mixed amongst spring flowering bulbs, to give early colour to the garden. In milder regions the plant should be evergreen; prune back in early spring remove any unnecessary spread by heavy lifting some of the plants’ root system, to restrict growth. Divide in early autumn or spring. Very hardy.
