Ajuga reptans is a low growing plant that prefers to live in the shade. This makes it a perfect ground cover for shaded banks or as a woodland plant happily sitting beneath the canopy of the trees. It has dark-green leaves, with erect spikes of dark blue flowers in late spring and early summer.

Usage. Banks and slopes, shaded beds and borders, attract & feed bees, cottage/informal, ground cover, woodland.
