Le pommier ‘Idared’ est un croisement américaine de Jonathan et Wagener. Auto fertile, mais il y aura un meilleur rendement si cultivé avec un autre pommier – Granny Smith, Golden ou bien Reine de Reinettes. Ce pommier se conserve très bien (jusqu’à six mois au frais). Plutôt une pomme à cuisiner que pomme à couteau. Joli pomme à peau rouge.

This North American hybrid – a cross of Jonathan and Wagener – is a very good-looking juicy red apple that has particularly good keeping qualities. If stored in a cool place, it will keep for up to six months.  Self-fertile but produces more fruit if grown in association with a Granny Smith, Golden Delicious or Reine de Reinettes. Possibly better as a cooker than eater although suitable for both.
