Une sélection T&M, enfin une capucine grimpante à feuillage marbré. Mélange équilibré de fleurs jaunes, rouges, crème et rosé-pêche sur un feuillage marbré. Superbe plante pour potée, suspension ou en couvre sol. Peuvent aussi grimper dans des conifères, haies et retomber depuis un muret. Fleurs en été. Grimpant.

REMARQUE: Les plants ne sont pas tous, au début, marbrés; la plupart le deviendront rapidement.
 
Instructions pour le semis

Semez directement à l'extérieur. Préparez bien le sol et ratissez-le finement avant de semer. Semez à 20mm de profondeur en sillons écartés de 30cm.

L'astuce de cuisine

Les feuilles ont un goût qui ressemble au cresson d'eau, les fleurs ajoutent une touche épicé et coloré aux salades, même les graines peuvent être consommés lorsque verts: coupez les en petits morceaux et utilisez avec du persil comme garni, ou utilisez comme substitut aux câpres.

Description

T&M own breeding. At last! Variegated climbing Nasturtiums. Available in a balanced mixture of yellows, reds, creams and peach/pinks with foliage which is attractively marbled and striped with cream, against a light green background. They make fantastic, dramatic container and basket plants or simply use them for effective ground cover. They also look good trailing and climbing over conifers, hedges and short walls.

Please Note: Occasionally some plants produce pure green foliage, many but not all will develop variegation at a later stage.

Sowing Instructions

Sow outdoors where they are to flower. Prepare the ground well and rake to a fine tilth before sowing. Sow 20mm deep, in rows 30cm apart.

Aftercare

They flower most freely in full sun and poor dryish soils.

Kitchen Notes

The leaves taste like watercress, the flowers add a spicy touch to salads and the green seeds can be chopped and used with parsley as a garnish or made into a substitute for capers.
