Superbe variété de 45cm de haut, plus courte que le type ‘Sensation’ permettant donc d’autres usages. Fortes tiges, fleurs de 8cm, bonne à couper et excellents en massif et plate bande. Merveilleuses en potée, grace a un feuillage léger. Mélange de coloris vaires dont un blanc médaille en 91 à Fleuroselect.
 
Instructions pour le semis

Semer entre mars et mai à la surface d'un bon terreau spécial semis humide et drainant. Saupoudrer d'une très fine couche de terreau ou de vermiculite. Placer dans un germoir ou enfermer dans un sac en polyéthylène et maintenir à une température d'entre 20 et 25ºC jusqu'à la levée qui prend généralement de 7 à 14 jours. Ne pas priver de lumière, car cela participe à la germination.

Repiquage

Lorsque les jeunes plants sont assez grands pour être manipulés, les repiquer en godets de 8cm. Acclimater les plantes aux conditions plus fraîches pendant plusieurs semaines avant de les planter à l'extérieur à 45 cm d'écart dès que les gelées ne sont plus à craindre.

Culture

Préfère un emplacement ensoleillé, dans un sol légèr et bien drainé.

Description

This beautiful variety is 45cm shorter than the 'Sensation' type of Cosmos, making it much more manageable for garden use. The strong stemmed 8cm blooms are excellent for cutting and the reduced height makes them excellent for beds, borders etc. They are lovely in containers, showing off some of the finest lacy foliage of any annual. A complete mixture of popular colours which Includes the 91 Fleuroselect award winning white.

Sowing Instructions

Sow seed on the surface of a good, free- draining, damp, seed compost. Cover with a very fine sprinkling of compost or vermiculite. Place in a propagator or seal container inside a polythene bag and place at a temperature of 20-25C until after germination which usually takes 7-14 days. Do not exclude light as this helps germination.

Growing Instructions

Transplant seedlings when large enough to handle into trays or 7.5cm pots. Gradually acclimatise plants to cooler conditions for a few weeks before planting out after all risk of frost, 30-45cm apart.

Aftercare

Prefers a sunny position in light, well-drained soil.
