Escallonia compacta Coccinea is a neat compact variety of the Escallonia family. Evergreen with small dark green glossy leaves, it bears masses of red flowers which bloom in late summer early autumn. This is an ideal plant for a compact hedge which can be trimmed back after flowering.

Prefers full sun and will tolerate both salt air and drought - perfect for coastal locations or boundary flowering hedge in full sun..
