Cette espèce blanche, rare de la populaire poached egg est incroyablement facile à cultiver. Elle sera charmante en bordures, rocailles et conteneurs. Fleurit durant une longue période du printemps jusqu’en été.
 
Instructions pour le semis

Semis: avril à mai

Semez directement en pleine terre à l'extérieur où vous désirez qu’elles fleurissent. Avant de semer, préparez bien le sol et ratissez finement, semez à 3mm de profondeur en sillons écartés de 30cm.

Pour un déploiement de fleurs en printemps/été en bacs, semez dans un serre froid ou véranda en fin d'été ou début automne. Cultivez dans un endroit éclairé mais frais, et arrosez avec parcimonie.

Repiquage

Lorsque les jeunes plants sont suffisamment développés pour être manipulés, éclaircissez-les à 15cm d'écart.

 

Description

Wow! A white species of the popular Poached Egg plant. These pure egg white flowers will create a mouthwatering display in borders, rockeries or containers. Flowering over a long period from spring into summer.

Sowing Instructions

Sow March to May or September to October thinly, 3mm deep in drills 30cm apart in well-cultivated soil which has been raked to a fine tilth. Water ground regularly, especially in dry periods. Can also be sown September to October for early summer flowering next year. Sow in pots or trays of moist seed compost and cover with a very fine sprinkling of compost or vermiculite. Keep at between 15-20C. After sowing, do not exclude light as this helps germination. Keep the surface of the compost moist but not waterlogged; germination will usually take 14-21 days. When large enough to handle, transplant seedlings into 7.5cm pots or trays. Overwinter plants in cool, light, frost-free conditions before planting out the following spring.
