Description Variétale

Oignon au goût d’échalote donnant de très jolis bulbes allongés de couleur jaune rosé. Goût fin et délicat et de très bonne conservation. Variété résistante à la montée à graines. Très gros rendement.

Semis

Semer soit au printemps, soit à l’automne. Semer bien précis entre le 20 août et le 1er septembre en région Nord et entre le 10 et le 20 septembre en région Sud.

Opérations en culture

Les terres convenant à l’oignon doivent être légères, anciennement fumées et ne conservant pas trop l’humidité.

Récolte

Récolter de mi-juin à mi-juillet pour les semis d’automne et du 15 Août au 15 Septembre pour les semis de printemps. A consommer cru ou cuit pour aromatiser salades et plats cuisinés.

Astuces

L'oignon, cultivé près des carottes, éloigne la mouche de ces dernières.

Description

An elongated onion which looks and tastes a little like a shallot. Brown skins with a slightly rosy colour to them, these onions have a good delicate taste. Heavy cropping variety that stores very well.

Sowing instructions

Can be sown in the spring or the autumn. If you plan on sowing in the spring, if you live in the Northern parts of France sow between the 20th of August and the 1st of September. Those who live in the South sow between the 10th and 20th of September.

Growing technique

Make sure you plant in well drained soil that doesn’t get waterlogged during the winter. Make sure any compost that has been in the ground before is very well rotted down, planting with a little ash work well.

Harvesting

If sown in the autumn harvest from June to July, or if sown in the spring harvest between the middle of August and the middle of September.
