Instructions pour le semis

Mars à Mai

Semez finement en sillons écartés de 30cm dans un sol fertile et bien travaillé qui a été finement ratissé.

Autrement, semez en fin d'été en godets de 8cm dans un serre froid et hivernez en conditions frais, bien éclairé. Repiquez en printemps dès que les gelées ne sont plus à craindre à 30cm d'écart.
Culture

Se plaise dans n'importe quel type de sol à condition que c'est bien drainé et ensoleillé.

Description

Like a giant version of the traditional field Poppy, this richly coloured annual is perfect for adding quick and easy colour to bedding and borders. Plus, the eye-catching scarlet petals fall away to reveal decorative seed heads, great for drying.

Sowing Instructions

Sow March to May thinly in shallow drills 30cm apart in well cultivated soil which has been raked to a fine tilth.

Alternatively, sow late summer in 7.5cm pots in a cool greenhouse and then overwinter plants in cool, well lit conditions. Plant out the following spring after all risk of frost, 30cm apart.

Aftercare

Will grow in any well-drained soil in full sun.
