Rarement disponible: plantes bien ramifiées produisent des hampes florales rouge attrayant qui portent de grandes fleurs jaune intense qui se contrastent avec le feuillage gris vert. Facile à réussir et parfait pour ajouter de la hauteur et de l'intérêt aux bordures.

Instructions pour le semis

Semez en place à l’extétieur à la surface d’un sol bien prepare et finement retissé. Éclaircissez les plants lorsqu’ils don’t suffisament développés, à tous les 15 à 30cm.

Retirez les fleurs fanées, pour encourager la floraison. Les plantes se ressèment toutes seules, pour refleurir l’année suivante.

Description

An attractive and rarely seen member of the poppy family. Each plant produces branched stems that bear large, deep yellow, nodding, poppy-like flowers against attractive grey-green foliage. Adds height and interest to borders.

Can be sown March to May as an annual or sown in September to flower the following year as a biennial.

Sowing Instructions

Sow seeds thinly in shallow drills 30cm apart in well-cultivated soil which has been raked to a fine tilth. Thin out seedlings to 30cm apart when large enough to handle

Alternatively, sow late summer direct in drills as above if you live in the south of the country. If you live in the cooler northern parts of the country, sow late summer in 7.5cm pots in a cool greenhouse and then overwinter plants in a coldframe. Plant out the following spring after all risk of frost, 30cm apart.
