Description Variétale

Variété à grain rond. La gousse est courte, étroite, et contient 6 à 8 grains. Le pois est rustique et très précoce.

Semis

Semer en pleine terre à 5 cm de profondeur et à 40 cm entre les lignes. 1) de mars à avril pour la moitié nord de la France, hors ouest. 2) d’octobre à mi-janvier dans l’ouest, le sud-ouest et le midi de la France.

Opérations en culture

Butter les pieds 3 semaines après le semis, et arroser régulièrement.

Récolte

Récolter environ 3 mois après le semis. Cueillir les gousses lorsqu’elles ont 6 à 8 grains.

Description

A good early garden pea which can be planted out very early and should be ready early in the season when your winter stocks are starting to run very low. This pea is round and firm and each pod should grow to provide 6-8 peas each. Frost resistant variety good fresh, cooked and able to be frozen.

Sowing instructions

Sow from March through to April directly into the ground. Sow in rows to a depth of 5 cm with 40cm distance between rows. If you live in the south or south west, these can be sown a second time from October all the way through till January. If you live further north they can be started earlier in a greenhouse from December to January.

Growing technique

Earth up the young seedlings after the first 3 weeks. Keep well watered and keep clear of weeds.

Harvesting

Harvest 3 months after sowing. Between April and July. Can be cooked fresh or can be stored frozen
