Rosier Harlow Carr

C’est une variété belle et délicate mais cependant très robuste. Les fleurs de taille moyenne, 0,8cm à 1,2cm de large sont d’un rose très pur. Elles s’ouvrent immédiatement en coupe profondes, les pétales extérieurs recourbés vers l’arrière et les pétales intérieurs simplement repliés, formant ainsi une ravissante rosette disposée en quartiers.

La croissance est très buissonnante. Adulte, ce rosier arrondi produit des fleurs depuis le pied jusqu’aux rameaux, ce qui est une des caractéristique appréciée des Roses Anglaises. Très sain.

Fort parfum de Rose Ancienne rappelant les cosmétiques à base de rose.

Harlow Carr, dans le Yorkshire est le jardin le plus récent de la Société Horticole Britannique (RHS) ; de nombreux Rosiers Anglais y seront plantés ce printemps 2004.

Rosa Harlow Carr

A tough little rose that bears flowers of the most perfect formation - shallow cups of the purest rose pink. These hold their form to the end; the occasional petal falling back to give a pleasing effect.

The plant has an excellent bushy habit, maturing into an attractively rounded shrub with its flowers almost to ground level . The young foliage is bronze at first, later becoming green - and the whole plant is of truly ‘Old Rose’ character.

There is a strong, pure Old Rose fragrance that has been described as reminiscent of rose-based cosmetics.

Harlow Carr is the newest and most northerly of the R.H.S. gardens. A fine display of English Roses has been created there.

Available from April through to October. Some varieties do sell out due to popularity.
