C’est le plus brillant rosier cramoisi des Roses Anglaises; se détachant bien sur l’ensemble du jardin. Apparenté au “Mary Rose”, il a toutes les qualités de cette rose.

Les fleurs s’ouvrent largement pour former une coupe peu profonde. Floraison abondante, avec une remarquable constance.

Le parfum reste léger jusqu’à l’épanouissement complet des fleurs qui exhalent une charmante odeur de rose ancienne.

Racine nue disponible de début octobre à fin mars.
 

Rosa L D Braithwaite

This rose has the brightest crimson colouring of all the English Roses; standing out when viewed from across the garden.

It is related to Mary Rose and has many of that rose's good garden qualities.

The blooms open wide and are slightly cupped. They are produced freely and flower with remarkable continuity.

It forms a medium-sized, bushy shrub which looks particularly beautiful when grown in a mixed border.

There is little scent until the flower ages, when it develops a charming Old Rose fragrance.

Named for David C. H. Austin’s father-in-law, Leonard Braithwaite.

Bare root roses are available from October (week 41) through to March. Some varieties do sell out due to popularity.
