Description Variétale

Fruits ronds, aplatis, côtelés. Belle coloration. Fruits fermes et très goûtés. Plante à végétation réduite. Très précoce.

Semis

Semer de fin Février/début Mars à 3 cm de profondeur, sous châssis chauffé ou en appartement dans une caissette posée sur un radiateur.

Opérations en culture

Repiquer les plants en godets sous châssis lorsqu’ils ont 4 feuilles à 10 cm en tous sens en les enterrant profondément. Planter en pleine terre en Mai. Poser des tuteurs très solides de 1,30 m. Tailler en laissant davantage de bouquets floraux dans les régions les plus chaudes. Conserver la terre fraîche en arrosant copieusement à l’arrosoir sans mouiller les feuilles. Biner régulièrement.

Récolte

Récolter de Juillet à Octobre, lorsque les fruits sont bien rouges.

Astuces

Cultivé près de la tomate, le basilic éloigne les nématodes de cette dernière. Quant à la tomate, elle protège le navet de l'altise'.

Description

A truly large tomato which is round with a flattened top and slightly irregular shape to the flesh. A wonderful tomato red colouring and fantastic taste this is a must grow for those who love their tomatoes.

Sowing instructions

Sow from February to March in a heated greenhouse or close to a radiator indoors. From April to May can be sown without heat.

Growing technique

From May when the seedlings have reached 3-4 branches in height plant outside with one plant per 60cm. When watering your tomatoes it is always best to do it early in the morning and late in the evening, water the base of the plant not all over the leaves. Remove all side shoots as they appear and restrict the plant to one main stem. Support stem with a cane of at least 130cm in height. Keep well watered and keep clear of weeds.

Harvesting

Fruits are ready to harvest from July to October when the fruit has a good red colour to it.

Other Advice

Companion plant with basil as the tomatoes help to keep slugs away from the fine leaves of the basil plant
